The United States Army Pacific will conduct Exercise Tenacious Archer from July 25 to August 2, 2026, in Koror, Palau. This annual exercise brings together military professionals to enhance combined readiness, share expertise, and build lasting relationships.
Key events include a Community Day on July 24, the Opening Ceremony on July 25, and a series of live-fire exercises at Roman Tmetuchl International Airport from July 29 to July 31, 2026. These live-fire events will feature the MIM-104 Patriot Missile System, as well as MADIS, Stinger, and Alibi systems, engaging surrogate targets in a designated area over the ocean east of Palau.
During the live-fire events, a Notice to Mariners will limit access to near shore areas and waters under the flight path during launches and where debris may fall. The Palau Bureau of Public Safety and the Airai State Rangers will assist in securing the area. A Notice to Air Missions will also be issued by the Palau National Aviation Administration to ensure aircraft avoid the area.
Live-fire exercises like this are among the most valuable ways for air defenders to train, ensuring we have the ability to defend our Allies and partners. Conducting training in different locations across the region enables us to continue enhancing our proficiency to support a free and open Indo-Pacific.
