The alarm was raised at dawn in Palau , on Via delle Ferrovie , due to a fire that broke out in an apartment . Two people inside the building managed to escape and call for help. Firefighters responded immediately, extinguishing the flames and dispersing the smoke , then making the building safe. Their prompt response prevented the fire, which had started on the ground floor, from spreading to surrounding apartments. The causes of the fire are currently being investigated , and the building is currently uninhabitable. The Palau Local Police, Carabinieri, and State Police were also on site. (Unioneonline/vl)©…
