The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Palau is recruiting four Assistant Attorneys General to serve in its Civil and Criminal divisions.

Legal Ranks in an Island Paradise
Based in the commercial hub of Koror, the openings include two positions in civil matters and two in criminal prosecution. Because Palau operates as a Freely Associated State with a legal structure closely aligned with the US framework, attorneys credentialed in the United States or possessing relevant courtroom experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualified attorneys can take advantage of a temporary waiver permitting local practice without sitting for an additional bar examination.
Eligible applicants must possess an ABA-accredited law degree, maintain an active bar license in good standing and bring between three and 10 years of legal experience.
The positions offer an annual compensation package ranging from US$70,000 to $90,000/~€60,928 to €78,336. In addition, offers include paid relocation, five weeks of vacation and renewable two-year contracts, all in an economy where typical living costs run roughly half those of the United States.

Beyond public service, the appointments provide immediate access to some of the best diving in the world, including Pacific drop-offs, blue holes and pelagic encounters.
