On June 5, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with President Surangel S. Whipps, Jr. of the Republic of Palau in Tokyo.
At the outset, President Tanaka expressed his appreciation for the cooperation extended to JICA’s activities in Palau.
In response, President Whipps expressed gratitude for JICA’s long-standing cooperation and stated his desire to deepen the partnership in the future.
Both parties further exchanged views on the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Meeting to be held in Palau this August, as well as industrial promotion that balances the environment and development in the country.
