Dunia Baru is launching a new series of private voyages through Palau from December 2026 to February 2027. Available for a minimum of seven nights, the new journeys will offer rare access to Palau’s remote archipelago.
Cruising on the 51-metre superyacht, guests will explore emerald rock islands, hidden lagoons and vibrant coral reefs during a season known for calm seas, clear skies and exceptional underwater visibility, often reaching up to 40 metres.
Dunia Baru’s Palau season also coincides with one of the ocean’s most remarkable natural phenomena: lunar-driven spawning events that occur around the full and new moons. During the full moon, thousands of bohar snapper gather along the reef’s edge before rising into vast, swirling formations.
Around the new moon, bumphead parrotfish assemble in synchronised spawning bursts, their distinctive “head-butt” courtship audible from under the water. Even the most seasoned divers consider these rare, pulse-raising moments unforgettable and with expert guides leading each excursion, Dunia Baru guests can observe these spectacles from the yacht’s tender or diving in carefully selected locations.
“Bringing Dunia Baru to Palau has been over a year in the making,” said Dunia Baru owner Teng Wee. “We spent many months working closely with the Palau government to ensure this project aligned with the country’s environmental standards and tourism vision, and we are excited to be the first to introduce guests to Palau’s extraordinary waters in a responsible and meaningful way.”
Carrying up to 14 guests, Dunia Baru features seven en-suite cabins, open-plan indoor and outdoor living spaces and wraparound teakwood decks with panoramic ocean views. A private chef prepares personalised menus, while experiences on board range from snorkelling to kayaking, paddleboarding and curated beachside picnics.
With a team of eighteen including dive instructors, spa therapists and expedition guides, each voyage is completely bespoke.
Palau journeys start from US $30,000 +GST per night on an exclusive, all-inclusive basis for minimum 7 nights.
