The world’s only concert hall recognized by UNESCO is in Barcelona. Mosaics, sculptures, and an immense inverted stained-glass dome make the Palau de la Música Catalana one of the great icons of Catalan Modernism. The complex, designed over a century ago by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, also houses the Petit Palau, a more intimate auditorium that, for the month of [month] only, will be illuminated by candlelight with a Candlelight concert dedicated to Disney, featuring the soundtracks from Aladdin, Tarzan, The Lion King, and other classics.

Petit Palau: the underground auditorium of the Palau de la Música, where you can experience intimate concerts
Eleven meters below the Palau de la Música lies the Petit Palau, an auditorium inaugurated in 2004 that added a more intimate venue to the historic complex without altering the spectacular architecture of the original building. Its excellent acoustics and cozy atmosphere make it a space particularly well-suited for chamber music and, therefore, an “ideal setting” for Candlelight Disney, with its string quartet and thousands of lit candles.

Candlelight will bring together some of Disney’s most popular love songs in a concert full of nostalgia and charm. The repertoire explores love as Disney’s films have portrayed it for decades: sometimes romantic, sometimes familial, and sometimes between friends. Melodies that are part of the soundtrack of our childhood—and beyond—now set in the almost surreal atmosphere of a Petit Palau illuminated solely by thousands of candles.
Among the selected songs will be “Remember Me” from Coco, “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan, “It’s the Night of Love” from The Lion King, and “Breaking Free” from High School Musical.
