Mario Biondi will perform at the Monte Altura Fortress, one of Gallura’s most evocative panoramic settings, tomorrow, August 22nd, at 10:00 PM. He will be the star of a particularly important musical event as part of the celebrations dedicated to Rafael Neville Rubio-Argüelles, founder of Porto Rafael, in Palau.
The evening will be hosted by Max De Tomassi, the legendary voice of Rai Radio 1. For the occasion, Mario Biondi will perform a special concert, “This Is What You Are – 20th Anniversary,” celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the song that marked the launch of his international career and continues to represent one of the most significant moments in contemporary Italian soul music.
The evening is part of the broader “Palau è Festa” program, promoted by the Municipality to celebrate the centenary of Rafael’s birth through cultural, musical, and educational initiatives dedicated to Rafael Neville, his story, and the cultural, landscape, and identity legacy he left to the area.
“Through Mario Biondi’s music, we want to pay homage not only to the memory of Rafael Neville, but also to his vision of the Mediterranean as a meeting place for diverse cultures, landscapes, and sensibilities,” the municipal administration emphasizes. “The Monte Altura Fortress will provide a unique setting for an event that unites memory, culture, and the valorization of the territory.”
